oil sucks

so, i need to rethink this whole transportation thing. i didn’t want to get involved in the whole oil prices conversation, but i probably should say a few things. i drive a small pick up truck, and i like it a lot. i can go almost anywhere and haul lots of stuff, and i don’t guzzle as much gas as a large truck. i want to keep driving this vehicle everyday, but gas won’t ease up in price. sure, its a supply and demand thing, but its also a problem of the oil producing nations greed. they could pump more oil and sell it for far less and still make tons of money. but that won’t solve any problems. china needs oil, we need oil, everyone needs oil. why? because its comfortable and easy. making the change to electric or other such sources would be uncomfortable, it would violate our right to comfort. wussies. if i could afford an electric car, i would have one. the technology is out there, but the economy hasn’t proved its necessity. we are going to dry up the oil wells and be stuck once again in the year 1835. i wouldn’t mind riding horses, and working no further that 1 mile from my house, but would you?  think about it.  lets fix it before its starting over.
